Biography
Born and died in Selkirk. Scottish watercolourist of figures and landscapes. Trained Edinburgh School of Art and RSA Life Class 1877. Exhibited frequently at RSA, RSW, GI 1882-1912. Influenced by Sam Bough and the French realist painters such as Bastien-Lepage and J F Millet.
