Biography
Landscape painter in oil and watercolour. Studied privately with Horatio McCulloch whose influence remained throughout his working life.Earlier landscapes were often painted in England and Wales but as time went by he turned exclusively to Highland scenery.
Born Leith and died Edinburgh.
